The Face

This is the face Luke makes right before he does something he knows he is not supposed to do. In this case, it's jumping off the fire place.

Odds and Ends...

So, I had taken lots of pictures, including some of Troy's birthday yesterday {happy birthday t-roy!}, and decided to download and upload. I have decided to try and take better pictures, so I was fooling around with the camera settings and it ask me if I wanted to format {what I thought} was the picture I was taking. Since I assume things way to often {something I promise I am working on} I said yes, and it erased all the pictures on our camera. oops! So although I had taken all this time {and effort} photographing all the new clothes I bought Luke, this is all I have to show for it. Hmph. Not to mention all the great pics of my little guy that I lost. I was not happy. But are these not the cutest rain boots? He might have a matching jacket as well... you will just have to wait and see.

Surgery...

Don't worry, it was nothing serious! Luke got ear tubes, and we are so happy he did! He has had approximately eight ear infections since January. Poor little guy! This should eliminate that problem. The surgery was only 5 minutes, and Luke got not one, but two popsicles afterwards. Which pretty much made the whole thing worth it, if you ask him...

Twenty Months

I cannot believe you are twenty months!
Since last month not much has changed. You add more words everyday. You now know a cow says "moo" and a sheep says "baa". You like to "blow your nose" you put a tissue up to your nose, and blow out of your mouth to make the "noise" & You will also point to body parts now! You've known them for awhile, but would refuse to demonstrate your knowledge... Thank goodness you are not stubborn {ha ha}. Everyone you meet has the same things to say about you. First, everyone says how nice and sweet you are {and you are the sweetest most charming little thing} until you hear this one word... no. And then you go crazy. You throw your arms in the air, fling yourself on the ground, and start screaming, all hoping to get your way. You don't, but you still try, bless your soul. Your favorites are still the same, climbing, throwing yourself off things, the park {especially the big slide}, swimming, painting {you really love to paint, even more than you love to draw} and yes, you still must have your hat, shoes, and shades on at least 80% of your day. You are wearing 18-24 month tops and bottoms, 2T one-pieces, and a size 6 shoe. You weigh 27 1/2 lbs and are 33 inches. We love you Luke, happy twenty months buddy!

Labor Day with the Simonton's and Matthews!

Troy was in one of his best friend's weddings this labor day weekend in good old Denver! Troy flew out Wednesday to start the festivities, and I joined him on Friday. Beth and Taylor, and big help Morgan, babysat for "my baby Luke" as Morgan took to calling him. Here are a couple of pictures Taylor sent me, and I know there are more from the Matthews' crew! Luke had a great time staying with the Simonton's, and visiting the entire family for the annual Matthews' reunion during the day! Thanks everyone for watching our sweet little guy! And congrats Jen and Eddie, it was a wonderful and joyous wedding weekend!

This was the first picture I received, titled, "Luke settling in". I received it before I had reached the end of the block!
Morgan was a huge help. She loved baby Luke. Here she is feeding him. Since Luke loves to eat, this was a perfect activity for both of them! Appropriately this one was titled "Morgan feeds my baby Luke." Dang they sure are cute!
Here is Uncle Bill with the little ones. This one was titled "Be afraid. Be very afraid." It's the only time I worried all weekend :) Just kidding Uncle Bill, you are great with the kiddos!
More pictures to come!
