Just Because

Just cause...

Fort Worth Cats

And... We're Back! Finally after what was way too long of a hiatus, we're back. I got a new camera, and I finally did what I had been saying I was going to do for over a year.... I moved the computer to our new computer/craft room. It is much easier to access when the boys are asleep {which is practically never} but I digress... Here are my two pumpkins eating a Snow Cone {Snow Cup?} at the Fort Worth Cats game. This was about 7 seconds before Cole dumped the entire thing over and Luke declared him a "very, very bad baby."
A dad and his two boys watching a baseball game...
for about 37 seconds, all was right in the world. Then Luke ask for popcorn, Troy spilled my drink, and Cole started crying. So everything returned to normal.
Batter Up!
We will be back Fort Worth Cats! It was fun, and we killed about an hour and a half.

I will be updating and backdating and hoping to keep you filled in on our adventures. Life with boys is fun, crazy, non-stop, put your running shoes on and try to keep up. I love it and wouldn't want it any other way.

Fossil Rim, Part One

This week our beloved nanny Thavone is on a much deserved vacation. And we, are on staycation. We have made list and list of things we are going to do, and I am holding my breath hoping to cross off two or three. This fine Tuesday morning, we piled everyone is the car {by noon} and headed out. After two pit stops in the first four miles, we made some real progress. This here Ostrich was our friendly greeter. I think he did an outstanding job.
Troy kept saying the boys had to stay buckled in... but you go all of about the speed of a golf cart, and after we saw many children hanging their bodies out of cars, he relented. Luke had a great time feeding the deer.
But I think if you ask him what the best part of the trip was, this was it. His first time steering the wheel with dad. Totally Legal... Might I stress again we were going about four miles an hour? I promise he is not having a Britney Spears meltdown.
Cole loved it. And, for the record, stayed strapped in.
Well hello there my deer...
and aren't you a pretty... um... a pretty little animal.
Oh deer, how cute is that? Okay. I'll stop.
This concludes part one of the Fossil Rim adventure. I broke it up into three sections because it was easier to load pictures that way, and frankly, I like the easy route. So there.

Fossil Rim: Halfway Mark

Thank goodness for the half way mark! Everyone wanted to get out and stretch their legs, go to the restroom, and get a snack. It was such a cute little place I had to snap a few pics. Here are my cutie pies. Cole was really enjoying his gummy fish treat.
These gummy fish
are soooo gooood.
My little thinker. Working out his next great scheme in that bright little mind.
My boys.
I know I know, every mom says it...
but aren't they just adorable? At least for this split second in time.

Now it's time to get back in the car and see some more animals. Animals that I should, without a doubt, be able to identify, and probably won't be able too...

Fossil Rim: Part Three, the Final Frontier.

Our goal at this point is to get rid of all the food we had purchased. I think the animals at this part of the park are familiar with this plan as well. I don't think we were the first family to have this plan. Well hello there handsome Buck. Oh, are you hungry?
Oh deer, you are hungry too? Wait, you look familiar....
Look kids! A zebra! And you can pet him.
or her...
awww!!!! How sweet is that?
and naturally by this point we had thrown all the food out. But in our defense, they seemed pretty well fed. It was a fun afternoon with the boys! Now... back to the Fort.

Family Reunion

For years I have been threatening to go to our family reunion, but we never made it... Until this year. It's at my awesome cousin Ellen's lake house, and I mean it is AWESOME. The boys had their first boat ride, and I think I saw pictures of it posted on Facebook, I will look because I jumped on the boat last second {they were pulling off and I was all, HEY! Can I come?!} so I didn't have my camera, which was a total bummer. And we were chasing these two from the second we arrived. At the wrong house. But that's a different story. Thank goodness cousin Cathy was driving by in the golf cart and recognized us changing Cole's diaper in some poor strangers yard... But yes, due to the chasing, there was very little picture taking. Very little. Here is Cole running away  from me.
and this picture... this is pure awesomeness.
9 cousins pictured, 8 boys, 1 girl. And sweet Carrye is pregnant again. Boy number three. Two cousins  were not here... both boys. I love it. Love it. We had so much fun and will definitely be back next year. Thank you so much for hosting Ellen and Preston!

Luke's BFF.

Monkey...
You mean so much to Luke. You are his very best friend. When he is scared he wants you. When it's time for bed, he wants you. When he cries he wants you. When he is happy, he wants you to celebrate with him. You have been his best friends since day one, and we love you. This is a picture of you that Luke took, and then came to show me the picture he took of his best friend. It makes my heart smile to see the two of you together. Luke bathes you, feeds you, and makes sure you are tucked in at night. We love you to the moon and back Monkey!
