Backyard Buddies

I think I might* have mentioned in a post or eighty gazillion that our weather has been amazing! And since our nanny has the next week and a half off, I am getting to spend some awesome time with the boys! Today is day one, and we went over to Queenie's this morning, and are enjoying some outside time this afternoon.
My super sweet 1st born
Yes, I made them sit in a pile of weeds... at least they had a blanket to sit on.
and the precious and precocious baby boy
Luke is in need of yet another haircut.. this is when I wish I had a girl and could just put some clips in it and call it a day, or simply knew how to cut hair...
and yes, I need to throw the pumpkins away considering tomorrow is the first day of March... but Luke loves playing with them, and they seem to keep our little chunky monkey pumpkin entertained as well
Luke was making wishes and naturally wished to go to Chuck E. Cheese. He is pretty lucky because Boompa is planning on taking him tonight. What a lucky guy. I bet he will be combing the yard tomorrow looking for more "wish makers"
I hope everyone is enjoying this weather as much as we are!

Fort Worth Food Park

Today was yet another perfect weather day, and we were so lucky our friends were in town and agreed to meet us for a quick bite before they got back on the road. We definitely needed something kid friendly, and since it was so pretty outside, I suggested the Fort Worth Food Park. It's in the middle of a bunch of warehouses, and I am pretty sure they wondered where they heck we were going, and out of nowhere it pops up. It's pretty darn cool.
I love these kids. I mean, seriously, I love them {I know one of them is mine, but you know what I mean...}. Mallory has been a part of Luke's life since he was three weeks old. And you can just tell they have a blast playing together.
Is that not the sweetest? Love. Love. Love.
Our little green eyed beauties. I couldn't help but take a million pictures {as you can tell} and bribed them with a few skittles. Mallory only wanted the yellow ones, she is seriously too cute {have I said that?}.
Whether they were chatting at {their} table
sharing {Mallory's} grilled cheese
or just posing for a picture, they were having fun.
This is Mallory's brother Gatlin. He is 9 months old today, and absolutely precious. Happy 9 months sweet Gatlin Gray!
and here is Chunky Monkey Pumpkin {aka Cole}.
Mallory was so sweet with him. She is going to be the best babysitter one day {soon}.
Until next time Davis family...
Thank you so much for working us in during your short trip. We had so much fun!

Rocksauce Applesauce

Cole has tried spinach, peas, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, mangos, pears, blueberries and strawberries,
and of course, applesauce. This was just plain old applesauce. So far he loves it all. Good boy!

Six Months

Happy
{6 months}
Cole Hudson
If you look really close you can see his little tooth that broke through in the picture above!
At 6 months old you are an absolute delight {I know I sound like a broken record, but you are}! You laugh and smile all the time, especially when your big brother does anything. In fact, you often try and get his attention by laughing, and when you can't, you laugh harder! Luke loves the fact that you laugh at him all the time, and so he has really started including you in his play time. He will ask me to "put us in a circle" so I have to put pillows around both of you, and for some reason you both think that is hilarious. Luke sits and makes faces, and you both just crack up. You have one tooth that has broken through, and another that is not far behind. You just started sitting up, and I mean, like today just started, and you are already a pro! You are able to sit for several minutes at a time. It's unbelievable... you really do change over night! And you love to roll over, but only from your back to your stomach. Any time we lay you down, you just flip right over, and start trying to inch your way around, which you don't do very well. You have rolled from your stomach to back, but you definitely have not mastered that yet. You also love to bounce in your jumparoo, and spin around in your exersaucer. You crack us up! In these two pictures you are wearing the outfit we took Luke's 9 month picture in, you are definitely a big guy! You wear a size 3 diaper, and 9 to 12 month clothes. You haven't been in to the Doctor for your 6 month check up yet, but you had to go in for a cold a couple of weeks ago and you weighed 20 lbs. We have given you apples and bananas which you also love, but are not really a fan of rice cereal. Pictures to come. Yes, I still need to get those batteries, so sorry for the blurry phone pictures. We love you little man!

Goofing Off

Luke loves playing with Troy and I's phones... so much so that his grandmother was nice enough to give Luke her phone when she got a new one {Lucky guy}! And Luke also loves taking pictures and videos with our phones. Here are a couple of recent ones we took of us goofing off together.

As Luke says, That's so silly.

Favorite Things

Luke is a pretty happy kid, but few things make him ask me to take his picture... in fact, I think this was the first time he actually ask me to take his picture... but he wanted to say cheese,
and he wanted to be sure I took a picture of the reason he was smiling, his robot car.
This kid loves his transformers. In fact, every time I walk through the door with a plastic bag {which is fairly common in this house}, he ask me if I got him a new robot. On Friday I got off work a little early, and I just couldn't resist, so here is his new Robot Car.
