It's Christmas!

Luke still hasn't gotten the hang of Christmas, he slept in {until 6, a departure from his normal 5:30}, clearly unaware Santa had brought him the presents he had been telling Santa about. But boy was he excited when he walked in and saw all his new toys! Here is his with Mr. Potato Head.
and with Grandpa showing him how to use his new markers.
After opening presents, Troy, Luke and I said goodbye to grandma and grandpa, and headed over to my parents house to open more gifts! Unfortunately I forgot to take a single pic, but I assure you we had lots of fun. Then we packed up and headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house for more eating, presents, and good company. Here are Cousin Rachel and I. She goes to Alabama. Gosh, weren't you guys really good last year? GO FROGS!!!! We still pretend to like each other though.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Luke and Santa, Year two

This year resulted in the same scene as last year... Better Luck in 2011.

The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there!

We started a tradition last year to have everyone over on Christmas Eve and Buddy cooks us a wonderful dinner. Last year Buddy and Carol Ann drove home in a snow storm, so this year they decided not to risk it, plus they got the added bonus of watching Luke open all his Christmas gifts! We had a great evening! Merry Christmas Eve!

The one we didn't use.

This was my first choice for our Christmas card, but Troy twisted my arm so we went a different route, so, here is the runner up. The winner will be arriving soon to a mailbox near you! Photo by Haley Naegele.

Twenty-Three Months

Some parents question, "When did we go wrong?" Thanks to all the pictures I'm taking, we will always know. It was at 23 months... That's when Luke started throwing gang signs and trying to steal money out of my purse. *Deep Sigh* I need more wine. And apparently to start researching bail bondsmen.
Yo, seasons greetings from the West siiiiide!

It's A, Family Tradition!

So smile and act like you are enjoying yourself Luke! Okay, so it was freezing, and it was nap time. I promised to pick a Christmas tree out in less than 5 minutes, but we please please please pretty please had to go get one. Like now. Yes. now NOW. And I would like the record to show I picked out a tree in a mere 30 seconds. And I still got this face...
Which goes perfectly with my theme this year, which is celebrate the season. {I know I know... a theme? I'll just get over myself now. It will all make sense very soon, I promise}. Enjoy the holidays now, y'all! Just finished making the Christmas cards and, hopefully they will be picked up, addressed & mailed out by this weekend. Coming soon to a fridge near you!
