Long Distance Friendship

That is sweet little Mallory's hand. She was Luke's buddy for the longest time when Meagan kept Luke, but now they live in Oklahoma, and we don't get to see them very often {except via blog}. Meagan is having her baby shower here this weekend, so I am going to bring Luke so they can see each other in person. I think they are both pretty excited! {Thank you Meagan for the picture!}

Happy

At school they are working on their emotions and feelings. Luke will say "Hi mommy, ow are you?" And then will usually tell you he is good, sometimes he will say "ate!" {for great} but the cutest was when I ask him how he was and he said, "I appy" {happy}. He is a pretty happy little guy. Here he his, being his little "appy" self.

Relaxing

Luke is a lot like his mom and dad. He likes to just kick back, and relax.

Watch some Scooby Doo...

And read one of mom's trashy books. {And let me just explain myself here... we are really really trying to stick to a budget, and I was all set to go and buy the latest by Jen Lancaster, a real author, but then I realized I had spent the majority of my allowance, and this book was on sale. Big time. And now I know why, but I struggled through to the end. And now Luke is reading it}.

I should have just dipped into next weeks allowance. Oh well... at least Luke seems to be enjoying it...

Reorganizing

This morning I left Luke watching cartoons so I could run get dressed. When I came back, he was not in the living room where I left him, so I ran into the dining room. I didn't see him at first and said, "Luke?" he replied "Hi Mama." Apparently he thought my wallet desperately needed to be reorganized {and I can't really blame him on this one} and he tried on some lipstick and mascara too...

Thanks Luke for getting me organized.

Backyard Shenanigans

Just like his dad, Luke loves to be outside. He also is really liking the construction going on in the back, and is taking full advantage.

We are so grateful for the cool days we are having, and all the fun that goes with it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I was hoping to get a little more festive of a pic, but Luke and I both had long days, so this will have to do! He has been such a big boy lately, that is why he is being rewarded with his sonic apple slush. His teacher at school told me he stays dry all day, and always goes potty in the big boy potty. He even stands like a big boy! He is such a little man! This morning when I dropped him off, Miss Tina wanted to show me what he could, um, do... so we went to the bathroom, and I was cracking up! He had his sunglasses on upside down {new trend?} and grabs the back of the toilet {they are kid size} stands there with his shades on, and does what he needs to do. I was laughing so hard, and clapping and saying, go Luke, you are such a big boy. Then the kid actually pulled down his shades like, uh, duh mom. The problem? When we gets home, and he wants to potty, he wants to stand, and we do not have a kid size toilet... we have a little potty he can sit down on, but not stand. You can see where this is going... I am going to be cleaning the bathroom quite frequently!

Silly Day

Today, at school, they were celebrating Purim, a Jewish holiday where you get to wear something silly, and they celebrate friendship. I was frantically searching for something Luke could wear, his Halloween costume being entirely too warm, and came up pretty short. So, here he is in his "silly" hat.

I found these mustache's at the toy store,

but Luke was having none of that. Oh well, Happy Purim!

Hide and Seek

Luke loves to play hide and seek, and will say "hide" and then wait for you to come find him. He thinks he is pretty funny.

The Reward

Luke is home sick today. Poor guy just can't catch a break. Well, he tells me he needs to go to the big boy potty, something they work on at school, and he goes all the time, but at home, as usual, a different story, but not today! After telling me he needed to go, he did just that! I am such a proud mama! He got to put money in his piggy, and a few m&m's to snack on.

Haley ask Jessica, Emily, and I if she could take some pics of the kiddos, and of course, we all said heck yes! Since it was going to be all three shooting at the same time, I took our camera along to see if I could get some pics of the three of them. It did not go so well... Here is Luke's super excited face when I told him we were on the way to take pictures...

Happy Birthday Genevive!

Luke's classmate Genevive had a petting zoo birthday, complete with balloon guy. Luke could not get enough of the balloon guy. He was very impressed.

He also enjoyed petting the sheep, and talking to the sheep.

It was a great party!

Let the Construction Begin...

We haven't gotten very far, but the construction has began. Luke was more than excited to see a real live big truck in the backyard. Here he is surveying the work so far...

We are hoping the new addition is finished by the time our other new addition arrives... fingers crossed.
