Five Months: If I can pick it up, I can put it in my mouth!

Luke is really starting to use his hands, and has found his feet. He explores everything by putting it in his mouth, and gumming things within an inch of their life! Still no teeth, and no crawling. He can sit for a few more seconds, and I think will be sitting all by himself very soon. At the end of the month he really started pushing up and rolling from back to stomach. So far, his favorite food is carrots.

Four Months: idrool

Luke's favorite thing to do? Drool! And boy does he do it well! He rolls over on occasion, eats rice cereal on occasion, and can sit for a second or two on occasion. His personality is really starting to come out, and he sure is a happy little guy!

Is it possible Luke is already 3 months old? I am finding it very hard to believe! We have taken to affectionately calling him ookie, and ookie had a few "first" this month. He has proven himself to be quite the little man, what is the first thing he reached for? Yup, you guessed it, the remote control. He is just like his daddy!

Our wonderful nanny Meagan, along with her sweet and precious daughter Mallory, captured his award winning personality in some amazing photos, and I finally got the announcements off! We feel so lucky to have Meagan, and she is quite the talented photographer! Meagan also witnessed him roll over from his tummy to back, but I guess Luke is shy, or just showing off for Meagan (more likely!) because I did not witness this feat until the day before he turned 4 months old. We also gave him his first "real" food, rice cereal. He wasn't thrilled, but just like his Boompa, Luke is not one to turn down food. He managed to shove it all down, as mom took pictures and videoed the whole event.

What do we have in store for Month 4? We are working on sitting up, and perhaps we will even start to jump in the jumparoo. Right now it's more of a standaroo, so we will see. Also, he has two favorite "lovies" lambie, and rafi.

The beginning of the month was a lot like month one... not a whole lot going on, except the barrage of kisses bestowed on you each minute! Towards the end of the month Luke finally started looking at mommy and daddy, and we got our most precious gift from you to date, a great big Ookie smile! You had your two month Dr.'s visit, and here are your stats:

Weight: 13 lbs 4 oz

Height: 25 1/4 inches

You are at the top of the class for height, at the 95%, and about 80% for weight

At 6 weeks old, we took Luke on his first road trip, to Arkansas, for Nana and Butch's 90/70 party. He got to meet lots of family, and he was so good!
